A New Online Book on Gangs:
Mike Carlie, PhD is a professor of criminal justice and webmaster for the Interagency Task Force on Gangs http://www.faculty.smsu.edu/m/mkc096f/nogangs/ and the author of a new, free online book on gangs. You can read the foreword (a brief description of the book is provided) at: http://courses.smsu.edu/mkc096f/gangbook/default.htm . It's very unusual for a university professor to conduct research and publish their work free of charge, let alone write the work on the Internet and provide thousands of useful links. Such is the case with this book. If you know of police departments, parents groups, schools, etc., in your community that may benefit from reading the book, please share the above site with them.
Email me if you have any questions,
